Up for sale is a beautiful "contemporary" early printing of Jack London's masterpiece, The Call of the Wild. Published in February 1905, just two years after the first edition, this copy is a wonderful example of early 20th-century bookmaking. It features the iconic green cloth cover with the "Buck" illustration pasted to the front and includes the original color plates.

This copy features a fascinating glimpse into the book's history through its original gift inscription. Unlike many books where the writing is seen as a flaw, the handwriting here provides excellent provenance, dating the book to its exact era of publication.
• Front Flyleaf: A beautifully preserved period gift inscription in fountain pen: "To F. Irving Moses, From Mattie, Edy, and Lou. July 12th, 1905."
• Ownership Mark: Also features the name "P. H. Moses" at the top of the page.
• Significance: This inscription confirms the book was a gift during the height of Jack London’s fame.
