1950’s vintage cannon table cigarette lighter

Vintage Cannon Table Cigarette Lighter, Made in Japan 1950s. A solid metal tabletop lighter, made in the shape of a cannon. Manufactured in Japan in the 1950s, this solid metal lighter contains no plastics.The upper cannon section is plated in gold-tone, while the cast iron base is finished in black enamel. Bottom is simply stamped "JAPAN", circa 1950s. Being an automatic lighter, it must be extinguished by either blowing it out or by closing the snuffer cap manually. Additional lighter fluid can be added by removing the screw at the front 'business end' of the cannon. The flint can be changed via a screw located on the underside.Difficult to tip over, this lighter is wonderfully counterbalanced and rolls nicely on its wheels so that it can be easily moved or even 'passed' down a table by pushing on the base. Sold as is.Measures approx 5" long and 3½" tall.
