80s British Country Life BURBERRYS Knit M

80s Burberrys knit sweater.
Made in England. The condition is very good for its age, with no noticeable scratches, stains, or fraying. It has been dry cleaned.

An old item from the "Burberrys" era.
A rare motif featuring a jacquard design of a golf scene.
The entire chest area depicts a landscape (golf course) in a jacquard weave, and the logo is embroidered in the cursive "Burberrys". Based on the navy base color, it is believed to have been manufactured in the early 90s (around 1990-1994).
The golf pattern is from the "British Country Life" series, which has a theme of British rural culture.
Hunting, horseback riding, fishing, and golf are standard themes. This kind of "landscape painting knit" is a rare art knit line even among the British-made Burberrys.

"100% PURE COTTON" is a high-quality long-staple cotton (probably Supima cotton).
Burberrys at the time specially ordered "cotton yarn that is less prone to shrinkage and pilling" from natural fibers, and it has a soft and smooth touch. It doesn't feel scratchy.
