Up for sale is a remarkably well-preserved Dietz Little Wizard lantern. Dated precisely to May of 1934 via the "S-5-34" stamping on the air tube, this piece is a fantastic example of American-made utility from the Great Depression era.
Condition Details:
* Interior Font: As shown in the high-detail photos, the interior of the fuel font is exceptionally clean and appears free of the rust and scale often found in vintage lanterns.
* Burner & Wick: The burner is original, marked "Dietz" and "Made in U.S.A.". It operates smoothly, and the included wick appears to be in new, unused condition.
* Body: The lantern stands approximately 12" tall. It has a great vintage patina with minor surface oxidation. There are minor dents on the top crown consistent with age and use.
* Markings: The font is clearly embossed with "Dietz N.Y. U.S.A. Little Wizard". The air tube features patent dates from 1920 and 1932.
* Globe: Please note, no glass globe is included with this listing.
