Miniature portrait of a little girl, hand painted on porcelain. The picture is set in brass with a pin fastener and hanging loop. Hoop can be set up or down.
The girl is darling with medium, light hair, and dark eyes, heart shaped mouth and sweet, winsome, expression. She wears a red and white dress with a black midsection. She also wears a gold chain.
We date this miniature to 1820s-30s
Unsigned. The porcelain blank looks like it is marked 22 on back (see photo very light to see on camera).
Measures 2-3/4" x 2-1/4" x 1/4"
Very good condition. You can see where there is a few light scratches in the paint due to wear and age.
