Antique Victorian braided hair mourning necklace with sterling silver vesta pendant. Unique chain design. There is an adjustable sliding sterling silver cinch making the chain adjustable. Chain is made of woven hair with sterling silver caps. Each end is connected by soldered links leading to an early spring ring clasp. Orate Repousse sterling silver vesta pendant. The rim of the vesta has a stamped STERLING along the rim.
Acid tests positive for sterling silver.
Necklace measures 42 inches long.
Vesta measures 1 and 3/4ths of an inch tall and 1 and 1/4 of an inch wide.
