Sheng He Yan
Born in Shanghai, China in 1945.
Familiar with qigong from the age of 5, influenced by his grandfather, and began learning qigong in earnest from the age of 12.
After graduating from the Shanghai Municipal Health School's medical course, he worked as a psychiatrist (Western medicine) at the Shanghai Mental Health Center for 16 years.
While working as a doctor, he trained at the Department of Neurology, Huashan Hospital, Shanghai First Medical College, and the Department of Psychology, East China Normal University.
He worked for 7 years as an editorial board member and reporter for the "Shanghai Public Health News" at the WHO Health Education Medical News Agency.
At that time, he interviewed qigong masters from all over China and learned qigong that transcended different schools.
He is a member of the Shanghai Qigong Science Research Association, a member of the Shanghai Psychological Society, and a supervising physician. His books include the "Qigong Revolution" series.
