This elegant antique porcelain portrait plate by M.Z. Austria features a finely detailed image of a Victorian woman, signed Constantin. It is mounted in an ornate openwork wooden frame with a brass-tone finish and intricate floral and scroll designs in classic Art Nouveau style. The overall dimensions are approximately 14.5" x 14.5".
The front of the frame is in excellent vintage condition and displays beautifully. The back shows some age-related wear, including surface rust on the metal crossbars and one missing nail in a bracket. However, the plate remains very securely fixed in place. The original hanging wire and ring are also in place and stable.
