Berwick, a relatively new shoe factory founded in 1991 in Almansa, a famous shoe-making region in eastern Spain.

This is a classic penny loafer from Berwick1707, the premium line of Berwick, made with high-quality box calf leather.

Like its predecessors YANKO and Carmina, Berwick offers excellent cost performance, typical of Spanish shoes. The shoes in the main line are sold domestically for around 40,000 to 50,000 yen and are of very high quality, leading to increased availability in select shops.

It's a brand that's particularly popular among industry professionals, such as shoe shop staff, as it can be purchased by adding a little more to the budget for entry-level, authentic leather shoes. The beauty of the silhouette, born from the quality of the upper material and construction, is especially noteworthy.

It's a high-quality shoe factory, positioned similarly to Crockett & Jones, Sargent, and Carmina before they became high-end brands.

Crockett & Jones, Sargent, and Carmina have already become luxury shoes, with prices centered around 80,000 to 100,000 yen. They've become a bit difficult to afford for everyday use, so in that sense, Berwick, which can be purchased for around 40,000 to 50,000 yen, is still a good option.

The penny loafer introduced here is also made with black box calf, a classic combination that best showcases style and texture. The silhouette has a refined and cool look!

Overall, it's similar to the loafers finished with Crockett's hand-grade Paris last, a classic model that pursues the quality of a truly good leather shoe.

I don't think there are many shoes of this quality in the 50,000 yen class. Other famous factories would probably charge 70,000 to 80,000 yen.

It's a truly cost-effective shoe, as is typical of shoes made in Spain.

These shoes are made with good leather, supposedly from a famous French tannery (Dupuy?), which feels quite supple.

The condition is a beautiful item with little signs of use.
