This is an extremely rare Montblanc 1442 Solitaire fountain pen.
The 1442 is a classic-sized Solitaire series, representing a higher-end specification compared to the resin models. In particular, the combination of a Bordeaux barrel and a vermeil cap (sterling silver with gold plating) is rare, and the pen is no longer in production, making it scarce on the market. The number of these pens available is decreasing year by year, and it is a model that will become even more valuable in the future.
The nib width is EF (extra fine). It is suitable for Japanese writing and allows for beautiful, fine characters.
It is in very clean condition, with no cracks, chips, malfunctions, or engraved names. The condition is excellent.
