Historical fiction about the “Free People of Color” in and around New Orleans near the Civil War. Just the second novel published by the beloved author, a few years after the release of her hit gothic fantasy novel, Interview With The Vampire which was the first in her Vampire Chronicles series. A clean copy with mild shelfwear around the edges. Jacket is protected in mylar sleeve. Boards are clean and straight with mild bumps to corners and spine ends.
