This beautiful silver plate and shell bird was designed and hand-crafted by Italian artist Gabriella Binazzi (attributed to). You can hear the ocean in this lovely Binazzi object of art. The bird head, plumage, and feet are made of silver plated brass in original shiny condition, with black glass eyes. The beak and the brass crest have been deliberately left without silver coating to bring out the contrast with the plumage. Gabriella Binazzi creates original sculptures using natural materials like seashells or ostrich eggs, mounted with precious metal to form incredible birds or animals with unique styles. There is no visible maker's mark.
