Katumo Lot of 2 African Teak Figures Tribal Art Collection Wakamba Tribe Kenya 8" Vtg
You will receive these two Figurines by the Artist KATUMO in good pre-owned condition. They are vintage, more than likely from the 1970's. Tribe is Wakamba, Kenya, Africa. The wood is African Teak. Several were purchased at the Hilton Hotel in Nairobi.
We tried to assign the little identifying note cards to the correct figurine to the best of our knowledge / research. We believe the 2 figurines in this listing are a) Yalambe Ngunu - hypnotic eyes - to keep hypnotic powers away and b) Daragah Devil - to chase away evil spirits.
Both figures stand approx. 8 inches tall, the one on the left weighs ~9 ounces and the one on the right ~6 ounces.
