Gorgeous red oval shaped agate stone pendant. The bail is silver and textured. The stone is sliced fairly thick with gorgeous rough textures along the sides. Such a pretty piece in wonderful shape.

Red agate is primarily composed of silicon dioxide (\(SiO_{2}\)), with its red color coming from the presence of iron oxide impurities. It is a form of microcrystalline quartz known as chalcedony and has a hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. Its chemical composition is \(SiO_{2}\), along with varying amounts of iron or manganese oxides and sometimes other impurities.
