Recorded on March 7th, 1957 in L.A., after Sonny Rollins reached the pinnacle of modern jazz tenor sax with his 1956 album *Saxophone Colossus*, this is an immortal tenor trio work with Ray Brown (b) and Shelly Manne (ds).
With this album, Rollins established a world where he didn't need a rhythm section, especially a piano.
