Vintage Japanese porcelain vase dating to the Occupied Japan period (circa 1945–1952). This piece is decorated in a Satsuma-style design with hand-painted figural scenes in traditional Japanese attire, highlighted by raised moriage enamel work and gold gilt detailing.
The vase features a rich burgundy/maroon background with vibrant accents in cobalt blue, iron red, cream, and green. Gold outlining and raised textures add depth and visual interest throughout the design. Classic baluster form with a slightly flared rim.
Marked “Made in Occupied Japan” on base
Good vintage condition. Some minor wear to gold gilt and raised enamel, consistent with age and display. No visible cracks or chips noted. Please review all photos closely as they are part of the description.
A beautiful decorative example of post-WWII Japanese export pottery, ideal for collectors of Occupied Japan, Satsuma-style ceramics, or vintage Asian décor.
