Vintage American Folk Art PENGUIN Figurine Wooden Primitive Style 4" Hand Painte

For your consideration is this lovely vintage or antique Wooden Penguin Folk Art piece perfect for your primitive style home. Seller acquired this piece in a boxed lot of Penguin figurines and is unable to accurately attribute the piece to any particular maker or time frame. It does appear to have some age, whether intentionally or naturally done is hard to determine. The piece appears to be hand carved and hand painted. He has a beige breast and his black back is striped with a lighter shade to resemble plumage. Red Paint has been applied to his face to draw his closed mouth. The bottom is rough and an "X" is carved into it. The wood is light in weight just at 1.3 ounces and the figure measures 2.3 inches long x 1.7 inches wide x 4.1 inches tall. Perfect for any room in the house, this handmade collectible is a unique addition to any primitive decorated home or menagerie collection.
