This is a vintage Breyer Elephant that seems to be store display model. In the 50s and 60s models were sold in solid cardboard boxes where models could not be seen inside like the window boxes of today. So, many shop owners would often take one out of the box and mount it to a piece of wood so customers could see and feel the models before purchasing. With him being a store display, he does have significant flaws, including rubs and what looks like writing on him. However, this guy is a cool and unique piece of Breyer history and his flaws add to his cool charm.
Please note that I do not guarantee any model to be LSQ or in perfect condition. However I will always do my best to photograph and describe any visible flaws.
