Vintage Japanese Moriage Redware Tea Set Creamer Sugar Tray-Brown Gold-Enamel

This vintage Japanese moriage redware creamer, sugar, and tray set dates to the mid-20th century (circa 1950s–1960s), a period when Japan produced finely decorated export wares for Western markets. The glossy dark brown glaze is richly embellished with hand-applied moriage enamel florals and gilt detailing, a technique prized for its raised texture and dimensional beauty.

Such sets were commonly made for tea service and display, reflecting postwar Japan’s blend of traditional craftsmanship with Western dining customs. The elegant forms and dark, lustrous finish align beautifully with Hollywood Regency, Chinoiserie, & Traditional décor styles.
