From Germany this sweet Max Hermann bear is "The Happy Wanderer"
Made of mohair with a rotating head and is fully jointed (his legs and arms move) with embroidered felt paw pads. Released in memory of the the 100th Birthday of Max Hermann in 1999,, he is a Limited Edition No.5,310 of 13,000.
When wound, he plays " Mein Vater war ein Wandersmann" (the Wanderer) melody.
"Designed by Ulla Hermann, grandchild of Max Hermann (and responsible for the HERMANN-Coburg entire collection), draws with her musical bear Max Hermann - The Happy Wanderer - the love of her grandfather to nature and to his Thuringia mountains. Whistling a song and dressed in his Trachten hat, is how his friends and family best knew him.
