Authentic U.S. military PASGT Kevlar helmet (Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops), early Cold War era.
• Genuine Kevlar/composite molded shell (not steel, not a reproduction)
• Fitted with an original Mitchell-pattern camouflage cover (Vietnam–early Cold War surplus use)
• Original suspension and chinstrap hardware present
• Foam impact padding has naturally deteriorated and turned to powder, which is very common for early PASGT helmets from this period
• Shows honest service wear, including field/depot modifications to the cover (rear access cut, Velcro patch)
This helmet represents a transitional U.S. Army configuration, often seen in late 1970s–1980s service, especially with stateside, Reserve, or National Guard units using leftover Vietnam-era equipment.
No restoration attempted. Sold as found, exactly as shown.
Great piece for:
• Cold War collectors
• U.S. military historians
• Display, reenactment, or reference collections
