VTG Japanese rice pearl and 14k gold bracelet, preppy core, mermaid core vibes

This is a wonderful and dainty true vintage 1970s - 1990s Japanese white rice freshwater pearl and 14k gold tennis bracelet. These little pieces were all the rage once the Japanese, at Lake Biwa, figured out how to harvest these tiny freshwater pearls, in the 1970s, and they continued to be collected through the 90s. Eventually, the process moved to more non-polluted lakes in China, so the exact origin is questionable. Regardless, these little darling pearls are looking for a new home.

For call outs, it looks like the gold ring at the clasp point has been replaced with a silver one, metal untested. Also, the silk that has been used to string these beautiful pearls is a tiny bit stretched, meaning you will see a little give between the pearls.
