A wooden pen with a wood shaft made from exquisite-grained Japanese horse chestnut.
Finished with lacquer coating, it has a wet-look gloss that cannot be achieved with oil or wax finishes. The wood grain also appears three-dimensional.

*The image on the first page is an example.

You can choose either a ballpoint pen or a mechanical pencil for the metal fittings. It is also possible to sell without metal fittings. In that case, it will be 3,000 yen OFF from the listed price. KATO 201 and 202 are compatible with the metal fittings.

Notes
■ This pen is finished with the same paint as musical instruments. Therefore, the handling is the same as a lacquer-finished guitar, but I will write it down because I think many people don't know about it.

・Dents
Lacquer is easily scratched and will dent if dropped or if it comes into contact with a hard object. The area where the clip touches the pen is likely to dent even with care. Please understand that this is the nature of the product.

・Chemical reaction
Lacquer can react with rubber products and chemical products such as thinner, and may leave marks on the contact surface. If you put it in a pen case with other writing instruments, it may react with the rubber.

・Cracks
Cracks may appear on the painted surface if there is a sudden temperature change. In addition, cracks may naturally appear after using it for more than a decade, but we hope you will enjoy it as the character of lacquer paint. Vintage guitars have these kinds of cracks, and new guitars that reproduce them are also on sale.

・Care
We recommend polishing with a musical instrument cloth that does not contain silicone and a lacquer-compatible polish.
