WW1 United States Army OVERCOAT button General Service / Great Seal LARGE Button
-made of metal, often copper alloy with gold or gilt finish.
Rex Products Corp, located on back: produced these specific U.S. Army General Service buttons primarily during the World War II era & potentially as early as 1902.
-standard issue for Army personnel, commonly found on overcoats & service uniform jackets.
It's a genuine vintage military collectible with clear historical ties to American manufacturing during major 20th-century conflicts.
This is an overcoat button, which is the largest size used for U.S. Army uniforms. The measurement of a little over 1 inches corresponds to approximately 1 1/8 inches, a size commonly found on heavy wool overcoats from the World War I & World War II eras. Standard service coat buttons were slightly smaller, typically around 15/16 inches.
This is a large size (overcoat), gilt finish,& domed back, strongly combine to identify as a WWI-era U.S. Army overcoat button.
